Paul was a life-long Evertonian and followed their journey throughout their ultimate highs and despairing lows. He always had something to say about their performance, yet stayed loyal to the mighty blues throughout. 

Instead of flowers, as a fitting gesture we'd like to raise money for Everton in the Community. A charity that strives to make a significant social contribution; change lives and provide opportunities for all participants, particularly the most hard-to-reach and hard-to-help members of society. 

As Paul was previously a PE teacher, the principle of using sport as a tool to identify and support vulnerable and particularly young people; aiming to give them a fresh start in life and opportunities to grow, develop and become active and engaged members of society seemed an appropriate cause.
