Saharan ultra Challenge · 11 October 2023

Papyrus is a young person’s suicide prevention charity. That means we provide urgent support, education, campaigns and conversations that keep children and young people safe from suicide. And above all else, we’re here. We’re always here. That’s how we save lives.

Story

Laura Fellows and Natalie Kenn are fundraising as a team for PAPYRUS by doing the Saharan Ultra Challenge. We will be walking 2 marathons (52 miles) in two days in October 2023 in the Sahara Desert in Morocco. Many of you will either be someone or know someone who has struggled with issues relating to suicide and we want to help raise money for PAPYRUS due to this.

PAPYRUS is the national Charity for the Prevention of Young Suicide. Suicide is the biggest killer of young people under the age of 35 in the UK, in 2018 over 1800 young people took their own lives. PAPYRUS provides confidential support and advice to young people struggling with thoughts of suicide, and anyone worried about a young person through their helpline, HOPELINEUK. Every £5 raised can help pay for a life-saving contact to HOPELINEUK. Your donations really are lifesaving, thank you.
