Run for Sacha

Sacha is the son of one of my oldest and best friends Zoe. Last year she discovered he had the incredibly rare syndrome 2q37. This means that he is likely to grow up with both cognitive disabilities and physical difficulties.
There is evidence that if intervention is made early enough (ideally before the age of 3, Sacha has just turned 2) it is possible to improve the prospects of children with this kind of syndrome.
So Zoe and her partner Rob have just under a year to get Sacha as much specialised therapy as they can. Unfortunately, with cuts to NHS funding and a lack of knowledge about his very rare syndrome, they have been unable to get the care they need for Sacha in the UK. After much research, they found NAPA, a world renowned therapy centre: https://www.napacenter.org and thanks to their tireless fundraising, they have been able to make two visits to NAPA in the past year.
Sacha has already made substantial progress after his therapy at NAPA. He has learnt to walk and taken his first steps into the world. But Sacha needs further therapy to help him continue to make progress at this all important time, which I want to raise money for. He deserves the very best possible outcome and the chance to live an active and independent life.
I know 10k isn’t very far, but I find 5k a challenge, so it’s a stretch for me. All donations gratefully received. Thanks so much for reading.
