Story
SDYFC run a wellbeing course within schools to educate, equip and empower young people to grow in their self-awareness of their wellbeing. We are passionate about not just see a generation survive in their wellbeing, but to ultimately thrive, supporting them with their identity and wellbeing. Did you know that 75% of young people diagnosed with a mental health illness arent receiving the help they need? (Children Society 2021) To put that in perspective, if our young people all had a mental health illness, then only 10 out of the 40 we work with would be getting the proper support. To put that in another perspective, if this were physical health, for example a broken leg, only 10 out of the 40 young people would be getting a cast, regular check-ups, and other necessary provision for their healing and recovery.
The team are regularly told that they are the only people who take the time to listen to them.
