Mum died in May 2021 following a diagnosis of Ovarian Cancer. It was an enormous shock to all of us who knew and loved her. 

It is hard to imagine the grief that engulfs you following the loss of a parent but I feel that I need to do something positive with my grief.  I have therefore decided to try and raise awareness and support other women who are diagnosed with Cancer, including Ovarian Cancer.

Only 44% of women who are diagnosed with Ovarian Cancer will survive beyond 5 years. I hope that raising money for this charity will, in some small way, contribute to improving those statistics. 

Mum was a committed francophile and so it seems apt that I am now preparing to cycle from London to Paris over 3 days in June this year.

It feels like an enormous undertaking but I'm committed and I know that with the support of good friends and family, I can do it.
