GFS has been working with girls and young women for almost 150 years. Right now the charity focuses on supporting marginalised girls who are invisible or forgotten but who have so much to offer the world.

I have been lucky enough to see the work for myself- work that is carried out by amazing volunteers who care about gender inequality but fundamentally care about helping the girls create and achieve their hopes and dreams. 

This work depends on support from people like you and it all adds up. So please don’t think that your donation is not enough and walk by - if you care about being part of the solution as we do - leave what you can. It really does all help.

I am doing this huge thing because I want to know I have done all I can. Maybe these funds might pay for a piece of work that turns  a girl’s life around so that she does not lose confidence and remains resilient into adulthood to be a role model for others.  How amazing would that be !
