It's been on my bucket list for as long as I can remember, and I am both ecstatic and terrified that I will be running the London Marathon on Sunday 2nd October. Along with an incredible bunch of colleagues, we are taking on the 26.2 miles and raising vital funds for the BHF, a charity that means so much to all of us. 

Every day in my role at the BHF, I get to work with our amazing supporters who are fundraising to help us find the next breakthrough. I get to hear first-hand the devastating personal stories of how heart and circulatory diseases affect the families of 7.6 million heart patients across the UK. The sudden cardiac arrests, the babies born with congenital heart conditions, the young and old living through surgery and treatments. 

The BHF have done so much for my family, but I’ve also been affected by the heartbreak of heart and circulatory diseases. I am taking on this challenge for my Grandpa, my Grannie, my Grandad, Steve, Scarlett, Chris, Emma, Paul, Jenna, and all of the incredible BHF supporters who inspire me on a daily basis.
