The Nicola Murray Foundation has been set up in the memory of Nicola Murray, she was diagnosed with Ovarian cancer in January 2010, she sadly died on 28th April 2010, less than 4 months later, aged 34. She requested that any fundraising in her name should benefit those with Ovarian cancer.

Story

Most of you who are visiting this page will have heard me speaking about this charity before, and I'm sure you supported me last year (so thank you very much!) Although I may be a walker, I am certainly not a runner, having run no farther than 5k before. And I'm still not convinced that this really was the most appropriate fundraising idea for me... But anyway - I'll give it a go!

The determination, positivity and energy shown by everyone at the Nicola Murray Foundation, all of the people who have fundraised for the Foundation so far, and of course, not to mention the good lady herself, has inspired me to challenge myself whilst also raising money and awareness of ovarian cancer.

....so I'm stoatin' 13 miles for the Nicola Murray Foundation!

All money raised for the Foundation are channelled directly to the Edinburgh Cancer Centre to fund research with the aim to improve treatment and outcomes for women with ovarian cancer.
