Story

I have designed a free shawl pattern for a knit-a-long on my Facebook Page: KAL for Invest in ME Research.

Please visit the facebook page and click on "Files" to find your free pattern. Link to facebook page: https://www.facebook.com/groups/KAL4IiMER/

In return please donate to Invest in ME Research in order to fund biomedical research into this disease.

The first pattern for Invest in ME Research was the Jen Shawl. The "Jen Shawl" is an easy pattern to knit or it would make a great gift for a knitter. The shawl is named after Jennifer Brea who made the documentary film "Unrest". You can take part in the knit-a-long on social media on the Facebook page: Jen Shawl KAL . The pattern is currently being made available in English, Russian, German, Swedish and Dutch with the French translation hopefully following soon. You can see it is going to be a fun time and there is no deadline.

Invest in ME Research is an independent UK charity finding, funding and facilitating a strategy of biomedical research into Myalgic Encephalomyelitis (ME or ME/CFS).The charity is run by volunteers - patients or parents of children with ME - with no paid staff.Overheads are kept to a minimum and all funds raised to go to promoting education of, and funding for biomedical research into, ME.Our efforts are focused on setting up a UK Centre of Excellence for ME which will provide proper examinations, diagnosis and in time treatment(s)/cure(s).
