Story
In May this year Harrison contracted Meningococcal Septicaemia and we went through one of the toughest and most terrifying times of our lives.
Our beautiful baby boy was so incredibly poorly and there was nothing we could do but hope and pray for his recovery.
As a result of the incredible medical care provided by the Birmingham Children's hospital, we are so unbelievably lucky and forever grateful that he has now fully recovered.
We now want to help reduce the impact of such a horrible disease by raising awareness and providing the knowledge and information needed to enable a fast diagnosis. This is essential as it can make the difference between life, disability and even death. The money raised will help to fund vital research into vaccines and prevention which will saves lives and help rebuild futures for those affected.
We thought the best way for us to help would be to arrange a Toddle Waddle (sponsored walk or waddle) for Harrison and his little friends at Victoria Common in Northfield on 24 September 2017 at 11am. It would mean the world to us if you could spare any money whatsoever to help such an important cause which is so close to our hearts. Those that are available to attend on the day (whether toddler or not) to help support us will be very welcome to come and join the fun.
