This summer myself,  Dave  and my friend and former X-Factor contestant Russell jones JR are hosting a charity gala day inclusive of entry sales, stalls games and prizes and a show stopping concert performance from Russell. On the day we will be hosting this gala in memory of a dear family member Richard Clark, who we sadly lost this year. 

Our chosen charity is PAPYRUS - young suicide prevention. Sadly,  suicide rates are at a high in the UK  amongst those aged just 40 and under. PAPYRUS exists to reduce the number of young people who take their own lives, by shattering the stigma surrounding suicide and equipping young people and their communities with the skills to recognise and respond to emotional distress. They also  provide support via text, email, phone calls and online services. 

At a later date in August - our wonderful 4 children wish to do something to support this wonderful charity and have decided between them that this year on our camping trip to Basecamp - the three youngest ages 4,8 and 11 will take part in either an assault course or an orienteering course. Our eldest ages 15 along with myself will tackle a dizzy 150ft abseil! 

Any funds in which we can gather before our event dates, will be very greatly appreciated by the charity, myself and dave and of course Richards close family. Richards mother Cath (Daves step mum) has been very supportive of our decision to create these fundraising events, and I have great admiration, love and respect for this amazing lady ❤️ any donation small or big is a huge huge help towards potentially saving someone’s life.
