As many of you may now know my dad was diagnosed with stage 4 Rectal cancer over the summer. He battled hard, recieving both chemo and radiotherapy but lost his battle on December 13th 2018. 

Throughout it all he was upbeat and and a huge inspiration. Dad was 59, a year shy of the mandatory tests for bowel cancer at 60. Early detection, diagnosis and treatment are so important. Bowel cancer UK are working hard to raise awareness of symptoms and earlier diagnosis to help people in the future. 

I will be running the half marathon with my sister, Katie Smalley and cousin Elizabeth O'Loughlin. All donations are greatly appreciated. Cheers X
