As most of you will know, our mum, the superwoman that is Deborah Bowler, was diagnosed with Acute Myeloid Leukaemia in December 2018, and thanks to so so many people, she is now post transplant, mowing the lawns and slowly but surely starting to feel more herself. Leukaemia Care was a charity that came up almost immediately after mum's diagnosis. They produce a lot of the information/booklets for patients and family about the different stages of treatment. It might seem like a small thing, but having easily accessible and clear information meant that mum and us could understand what, when and where things would be happening and prepare for the journey ahead. Without this vital accurate information we would have all felt even more helpless and lost amongst the endless new information. Leukaemia Care is a national blood cancer support charity. They are dedicated to ensuring that anyone affected by blood cancer receives the right information, advice and support.
