On Saturday 13th July Tom and I are taking part in the Ullswater Mighty Hike raising funds for Macmillan. The walk is 26 miles in a day with over 600 metres of climb. 

I have been training since January and Tom is hoping that the fitness of youth will carry him round. Not sure who will end up carrying who ! 

We are doing this walk as on the 15th July it will be 5 years since my mum died from cancer. Macmillan were a great source of support for her and us whilst she was ill. Sadly my sister was diagnosed with ovarian cancer two years ago at the age of 39. Macmillan have been a huge support for her whilst she has undergone surgery and chemotherapy.
