Story
In April 2026, I’ll be running the London Landmarks Half Marathon in memory of my dad, Frank Codrington.

Dad was born on January 1956 in Barbados, the first brother to his three older sisters. He was full of life, super fit, full of laughter, always cooking something amazing, and happiest when playing his bass guitar.
In January 2026 he would have been 70 years young, and I truly believe he would have been 70 years young. He had so much energy and joy for life.
Dad was concerned about weight loss in March 2019, he had been to the GP surgery many times, for scans, in hospital for blood clots until he was diagnosed with pancreatic cancer with liver metastasis on 15th June 2020. The ten weeks that followed were inexplicable. On 30th August 2020, he died, surrounded by many who loved him.
When my husband and I ran a marathon years ago, Dad and my younger sister travelled from the midlands all the way to Brighton to cheer us on. This time, I’m running for him, to honour his strength, his music, and his legacy.
If you’re able to donate, I’d be so grateful. Every contribution helps fund research and support for families affected by pancreatic cancer, and keeps Dad’s spirit running alongside me. 💜
