HOPEWalk is an annual appeal to raise awareness and fundraise in your local community to help save young lives.

Story

As a group we will walk half a marathon (just over 13 miles) to raise money and awareness for this worthy cause

This is cause is very close to some of our groups hearts with the recent loss of a dear friend and family member and a local hero.

We will walk the beautiful roads and county side of Burgess hill, Hassocks and Ditchling on Sunday 28th October

Suicide is the biggest killer of young people under 35 in the UK. PAPYRUS is the national charity for the prevention of young suicide and believes that many young suicides are preventable. They operate HOPELINEUK, a confidential call, text, and email helpline for young people with thoughts of suicide or those concerned about a young person who may have thoughts of suicide. Every £5 raised can help pay for a potentially life-saving contact to HOPELINEUK from a young person wanting to stay safe from their thoughts of suicide. Thank you.

The group is growing fast, as well as the above named team members  Blon Brightwell, and Debbie Thornton, Sara Turner, Becky Brown, Charlie Mayne, Amy Taulbut, Dan White, Laura White, Jayne Collin, Nash Vadher, Steff Smith, Mel Smith and Tina Gasson are joining to raise money for the cause
