Over The Wall gave my life the little magic and mischief I didn't know I was longing for. OTW is a charity that gives children and young people with health challenges and disabilities the opportunity to be just that - children and young people. Volunteering at Camp has given me the opportunity to meet the most resilient, creative, kind, and amazing children; the warmest and funniest of volunteers; and connect with a little part of me I missed. Campers truly inspired me with their openness, their willingness to take on new challenges, and their camp spirit, not only shining themselves, but encouraging other children to find their own light so that they could shine.

Truth be told, running makes me incredibly uncomfortable! I feel weak, I feel slow, and I cannot help but feel slightly embarrassed when the super fit dad zooms past me whilst pushing a pram in Saturday parkruns. However, at Camp, we encourage campers to aim for their "stretch zone" - that sweet spot where they feel challenged, and maybe even scared, but where growth will happen. I figured it was time to follow my campers!
