So I have worked for Wiltshire Portage for just over a year now and it is a job I love and feel passionate about. As a Portage home visitor, we provide help at home for pre-school children with learning difficulties, physical disabilities or other special needs. We work alongside parents and carers, breaking down goals into small achievable steps.

Nothing beats that smile on a young child’s face when I arrive at their home with my big bag of toys! Getting to share, with the family, when their child has achieved a goal or developed a new skill, is a very rewarding and special moment. 

It costs Wiltshire Portage £2,500 to support 1 child for a year.
