We are 2 weeks past the run now and I can just about move my limbs enough to tell you all that we ran the whole way, and in a record time for us. Thanks so much for your kind donations and support. Jess and Laura (Maya) are running a half marathon this weekend in order to raise money for Weston Park Cancer Charity.

'What?' you may ask.. 'Jess and Laura/Maya? Running? And not towards food or away from Jackie the crazy Chingford chicken?'

Oh yes we are. 22km. And in fact there will be cakes at the end, so it is not so unusual after all.

We are hoping to raise as much as possible for the Weston Park Cancer Charity so please dig deep and donate what you can. Weston Park needs to raise over £1 million pounds every year to help to care for and treat thousands of cancer patients in the Yorkshire region as well as to fund important research. The research carried out at the Hospital is vital in order to develop new forms of treatment to improve the quality of life for cancer sufferers all around the world.

We will be running with a good friend in mind, whose family has been profoundly affected by cancer this year.
