Story
In September this year, I will be hiking the highest peak in Africa (19,340 feet) and the tallest free standing, snow-capped, equatorial mountain in the world, Mount Kilimanjaro, for Unicef UK.
UNICEF is mandated by the United Nations General Assembly to advocate for the protection of children’s rights, to help meet their basic needs and to expand their opportunities to reach their full potential.
Please visit: www.unicef.org.uk
After the hike, I will be working within The Tuseme Children Empowerment Trust; an orphanage based in Arusha that aims to support, educate and provide shelter to vulnerable children living on the streets of the surrounding towns. I am currently learning Swahili in preparation for the trip...
Donating through Justgiving is quick, easy and totally secure. It’s also the most efficient way to sponsor me: UNICEF UK gets your money faster and, if you’re a UK taxpayer, Justgiving makes sure 25% in Gift Aid, plus a 3% supplement, are added to your donation.
Any pennies you can spare would be incredibly appreciated to support the phenomenal work of Unicef!
THANK YOU!!! :-) X
