We are raising money for crohn's and coltis uk because my sister has crohn's disease.

Crohns disease effects around 60,000 people in the uk. It is an autoimmune disorder which means the body is producing antibodies that work against themselves. Sophie has it in her small intestines which means she cant digest food properly and cant absorb the right nutrients so has to have alot of tablets to make up for it and also has a very limited diet, at the moment she can only eat about 10 different foods. I have seen myself how annoying it must be to have to take lots of tablets daily, have to do injections at home and have regular blood tests. I think crohn's disease does not have enough awareness because looking at someone with crohns you wouldnt no they had it.

Any money raised helps the charity fund more research that will hopefully in the future help towards finding the cause of why/how people have the disease, improve medication and hopefully one day even finding a cure.
