Glasgow Kiltwalk 2025 · 26 April 2025 to 27 April 2025 ·

We protect and support children and young people, providing practical and emotional care and support. We ensure their voices are heard, and campaign to bring lasting improvements to their lives. Our vision is that every child and young person has a safe and happy childhood, and the foundations they need to thrive.

Story

On Sunday 27th April the SCQF Partnership Team members will be taking on the challenge of the Glasgow Kilt Walk, walking 23 miles from Glasgow Green to Balloch to support vulnerable children across the UK and raising vital funds for Action for Children, our sponsored charity this year.

4.3 million children now live in poverty in the UK. That’s 30% of all children. It’s easy to think poverty happens elsewhere. But it’s affecting the child in the park. Next door. With our help, Action for Children could give a child warm clothes, hot meals and a proper bed and supported access to education and employability services.

Please support with raising vital funds and help more children have a safe and happy childhood. £50 could pay for new shoes for two children, £60 could help pay for a family’s household bills for a week, including gas and electricity, or £250 could pay for bedding and furnishings for 10 young people moving into care, to help make their room feel like their own.
