Laureate Nuclear Rush Weekend Laureate Academy is raising money for Hector's House
Donations cannot currently be made to this page

Nuclear Races Rush Weekend · 14 May 2022

Established in memory of Hector Stringer, who died by suicide at 18, our charity is dedicated to proving suicide is preventable and that help is always within reach. Everyone deserves access to life-saving support. With your help, together we can offer hope and save lives.

Story

This event will be both challenging and fun and help to not only raise awareness of the importance of looking after your mental health, but support our own mental health in the process!

Students and staff of Laureate Academy will be running this event to raise as much as we can for Hectors House.

Any donations however small, are welcomed and greatly received.

Hector Stringer took his life at the tender age of 18. He didn't realise that things can and do get better and he didn't reach out to his friends and family to ask for help when he needed it most. We believe that suicide can be prevented, if we all realise that mental health is fluid, that you can get help, you are not alone, people do care. We are raising money so that hopefully, we can prevent suicide, though increased awareness, education and support.
