I am running the bupa great north run on September 15th 2013 raising money for macmillan cancer support! I have wanted to run a half marathon for some time now and i have finally decided this is the time and booked my place amongst the other thousands of runners in the worlds biggest half marathon. This gives me the chance to do my bit towards changing the future raising money for people and there families who are suffering from or recovering from cancer. Cancer has effected a number of people who have had some aspect in my life and this is my way of giving back to them and working towards a better life for them.

One in three of us will get cancer and it’s the toughest fight most of us will ever face. The Macmillan team is here to support you every step of the way.

We're the nurses| and therapists| helping you through treatment. The advisers| telling you which benefits you're entitled to. The volunteers| giving you a hand with the everyday things. The campaigners| pushing for better cancer care. The fundraisers who make it all possible.
