Birmingham Half Marathon 2019 · 13 October 2019 ·

Mental Health UK works in schools, homes and workplaces to build a thriving UK where good mental health is prioritised. We challenge the systems and situations that hold people back, and equip them with tools and advice to unlock their full potential.

Story

Hi there,

Thank you for visiting my justgiving page. I've chosen to run the Birmingham Half Marathon in October for Mental Health UK because I believe it's an incredibly important cause to support. In March this year I was struggling to fight against my depression and I very nearly lost my battle. It was only with the support of my friends and family that I managed to pull through and become the person I am today. It's not an easy journey, and I am still recovering from my experiences. However, even the smallest steps forward are still progress and I'm so happy to be able to raise money for a charity that helps other people like me.

UPDATE: Due to health complications, I will be unable to run the race myself, but my dad who was going to run alongside me, will continue to race in my stead. I hope in the future that I will be able to try again and full fill my promise.
