Cycling from London to Istanbul · 1 May 2019

We’re the world’s leading independent conservation organisation. And we’re building a future where people and nature thrive together. That’s why we’re passionate about sharing the planet’s resources more sustainably, tackling climate change and protecting endangered wildlife.

Story

WWF is at the heart of global efforts to address the world’s most important environmental challenges: safeguarding the natural world, tackling climate change and enabling people to use only their fair share of natural resources.

Anyone who knows me will know how much I love the natural world, and how passionate I am about protecting the planet. They'll also know that I love to travel. The problem is that travel can have a negative impact on the environment, given the staggering quantity of carbon emissions from aeroplanes.

This is why I want to challenge myself with cycling from London to Istanbul - a whopping 3000 kilometres - to raise money for the WWF. Cycling has little to no impact on the environment, so I'm hoping my journey will inspire others to travel more ethically, too.

I'll be kicking off sometime this summer and estimate that my journey will take about 3 months to complete.

Let's do this!
