London Marathon 2022 · 2 October 2022 ·

Street Storage was established in 2019 to allow people on the street respite from the physical and mental strain of having to carry belongings with them everyday. Long term and short term, we give people security and freedom and we have an immediate impact on their everyday lives.

Story

I'm delighted to be running the London Marathon 2022 on behalf of Street Storage!

I've had the privilege of being a Trustee of Street Storage since 2019 and have seen it grow and impact so many people's lives in that short time. The charity has just celebrated its third birthday and the last few years have been a whirlwind of activity with new and expanding premises, a growing team and the demands of a global pandemic to contend with.

Street Storage works to provide those experiencing homelessness with free, secure storage for their belongings.

The importance of storage has been overlooked in the homelessness sector. Every day people sleeping out are being identified by, and targeted for, having their belongings with them at all times. Every week, the team at Street Storage hear horror stories of people’s belongings being vandalised, burnt, stolen, urinated on or lost. Street Storage started small because there was a need. As the need and demand for their service has increased, they have adapted and grown.

Please help me reach my £2,000 fundraising target to support the fantastic work done by the Street Storage team.
