Garden House Hospice Care offers care and support to patients and their families. As a registered charity the hospice is dependent on donations so hospice care can be offered through in-patient admissions, day hospice, hospice at home, out-patients clinics and the family support team.

Story

So this year, as part of my 30th year bucket list (this could end up being a literal bucket list eeek) i have decided to raise some money for the Garden House Hospice by jumping out of a plane! Hmmm yeah ive had better ideas!!!

The Garden House Hospice is an incredably special place for me and my family. We spent Christmas 2013 there with my dad when he was very poorly and i have some amazing memories of personal carol conserts, comedy ties and being with my family. As it happens my dad went home for six months after this christmas and the support continued at home for respite, emotional support both during his illness and after his death. The volunteers and staff are exceptional.

A contract with the East and North Herts Primary Care Trust contributes towards the day to day running costs of the hospice but as a registered charity Garden House is dependant on voluntary donations and fundraising activities to raise approximately in excess of £1 million per year in order to maintain the current level of services.

If you can spare a few pennies that would be amazing as it really is a fantastic cause. If any of you want to join me to hold my hand.....even better!
