As most of you will know, I have been volunteering with Cats Protection since I retired some 7 years ago.

Last year I undertook a sponsored walk on behalf of the charity (and the National Cat Centre in particular) and raised £411. This year, due to the COVID-19 pandemic, Cats Protection (along with so many other charities) has seen its fund raising capability virtually disappear. For charities which actually have responsibility for living animals in their care, this lack of funding has had a major impact as the animals still need food and veterinary care, etc. Cats Protection receives no government funding and relies totally on the generosity of the public.

For this reason, I am undertaking the 9 Mile Challenge again this year and hope to better the sum raised last year. If you feel that you are in a position to contribute to this worthy cause, I (and the cats) would be extremely grateful.
