Anyone who knows me will find the idea of me doing a marathon a bit strange. But this is a bit different. This is a 'bridge' marathon, the idea being to play 80 hands of bridge on a single day. Just to give you an idea - it normally takes one hour to play eight hands. So a lot of bridge then.

This 'bridge marathon' is being organised by the online club bridgclublive.com and is taking place on December 4th.

I have decided to do this in aid of MacMillan Cancer Support as they were such a great help to my friend Bill who sadly died last year.
