Story

I will be taking on the Leicestershire round next weekend, as a non-stop ultra-marathon attempt.

The Leicesteshire Round is a circular route (approximately 100 - 110 miles) that many people walk in stages. Many have tried and failed to complete the route non-stop.

Jerry Wilkes (RoadHoggs running club) holds the unofficial course record (22 hours 41 minutes).

No particular rules or regulations, and no way of keeping official time or checking that I follow the route, but I promise to be honest about my efforts!

I will post regular updates along the way through facebook. I plan on starting at Foxton Locks at 10pm on Friday 22nd June, and aim to get round and back in time for a pint the following evening (Saturday 23rd June).

Anyone wanting to take part with me on part of the route should get in contact.

I am doing this to raise money for the Leicester Gondar Orthopaedic Partnership (www.lgop.org).
