Story

Hello,

Well my 50th birthday has arrived  - where have the years gone!

Anyway, in celebration of my special birthday, I have decided to set myself some challenges over the coming year with various family and friends!  Amongst other things, I have now climbed the 3 peaks with my daughter Emily - this was a 24 hour challenge to climb Ben Nevis in Scotland, Snowdon in Wales and Scafell Pike in the Lake District! Oy vey it was tough! Next up I am running a half marathon in Stockholm in September with my brother Lloyd! Another oy vey! This will be followed by a military bootcamp in November with my very supportive husband - he doesn't know what he is letting him self in for!!

All money raised from these and other celebrations for my birthday from March 2014 - March 2015 will go to Rela Goldhill Lodge - a Residential Care Home for Adults with physical disabilities and sensory impairments.  I have been the Volunteer Co-ordinator at Rela for almost 4 years and the wonderful residents and fabulous carers and staff make me realize how lucky I am to be able to do everyday things without having to think about any obstacles in my way because of an illness or disability.

Thank you for your support for a cause so close to my heart!
