Event: Take Flight! Sponsored Skydive, on 31 August 2013
We campaign against animal exploitation to protect them from cruelty and suffering

Story

On Saturday 31st August, I'll be jumping out of a plane at 10,000 feet to raise money for CAPS. I'll be freefalling 5000 feet at 120 mph, and then I'll be parachuting the rest of the way (hopefully).

CAPS is a fantastic organisation that campaigns for an end to animal suffering. Rest assured that your money will go towards continuing their effective and much-needed campaigning work.

The money raised will go to fund the Fight for Flight campaign which calls for an end to the mutilation of birds in zoos.

At just a few days old, thousands of birds in UK zoos have the end of one wing deliberately severed.

These birds will never fly, and they will never be released into the wild.

You can find out more about the campaign at http://captiveanimals.org/birds

About the charity

Through a combination of undercover investigations, research, campaigns, political lobbying and education, CAPS aims to stop the exploitation of animals in entertainment, particularly in circuses, zoos and the exotic pet trade.
