Story

I AM NOT A CELEBRITY BUT PLEASE GET ME OUT OF HERE !

Not content with abseiling off Guildford Cathedral tower in 2010 I have now agreed -in an even more mad moment -  to be arrested at the Guildhall and to be jailed!!

This is much more terrifying especially as some of my colleagues do not seem all that keen on getting me out!  Please help!

On 26 I am to be jailed in the Guildford Guildhall on a charge

that Lavinia Sealy is too frequently late for meetings”.

This is of course a specious and trumped up charge, but nevertheless I shall need your help to be bailed, pending trial so that I can continue with my daily round.

I have to raise £500 and would be extremely grateful for your support - a few pounds from any or each would be wonderful.

All bail raised is in aid of the British Red Cross  for the work being done following the Super Storm Sandy – and especially for the relief work being done in Staten Island and the East coast.

However well prepared for life, a single event can change everything. A house fire can leave a family homeless and with nothing.  An earthquake can bring a whole country to its knees. A storm can flood whole coastlines and sweep houses and whole communities away in a space of a few hour leaving devastation and months and years of clearing up.

The Red Cross believes in respect for other human beings and in meeting suffering with care, understanding and without discrimination.  They care for people in their own homes an and in local communities,, at home and abroad.

In crisis situations, people need the Red Cross to be there and when there is no one else to turn to.

This year millions of people will depend on them  - and helping me raise bail for this event means that they can be there when it counts.
