Many of you know me and know that physical challenges are probably not any great sacrifice to me, so when I asked Jemma what would be a good way to fundraise she said, "something where you have to sit still and concentrate!!" .....So the idea of a chess marathon was birthed!

I am raising money for Sowing Seeds Ministries, a charity that brings a real message of Hope to people in seemingly hopeless situations.

Sowing Seeds believes in keeping the "main thing the main thing", a Christian charity that believes wholeheartedly in preaching the gospel to the broken and lost.

I am looking for two things.... opponents and sponsors, ideally I would like 12 opponents to play 12 x 1hour games of chess, I am charging £20 for the opportunity to play me! Please remember I am a chess novice and can almost guarantee you an easy victory (although I will be trying my hardest!)

The 12 hour marathon will take place on Friday 25th March at our house in Addingham.

If you can't or don't want to take on the challenge of playing me, then please sponsor me cos believe me sitting still for 12 hours will be tougher than any marathon or peaks walk!
