My 6th London Marathon is a huge challenge for me to finish in under 5 hours. The training is gruelling especially the long runs and its just about recovery and getting through pain thresholds. I can't pound the pavements because of the impact to my joints and calves so I have to use a treadmill. My goal is to do 10 London Marathons, and reach a total of over £25,000 for LOOK, my charity PB. I have three half marathons in September, Big Half London, Richmond and Marbella to get me ready so please follow me. Please support me on marathon day or follow me on the App - bib number 43366. Training Update and calendar

4 September

Did Big Half 21k today in 2:21 so 5 hours looking more likely for London but let's see what the legs are like tomorrow! Big training week before 3 week taper next Sunday. 4 hour 32k run on Wednesday, last long run before the big day.  Richmond Half on 11 September. Next 4 weeks will fly by, excited but a bit anxious about the big day and getting over the line and doing my best for LOOK.

25 September

Did Marbella Half today in 2:12 so 5 hours looking possible. Time has flown and only four days to go!

28 September

Fantastic day at Excel collecting my Bib Number, great show some very helpful talks on marathon day. My number is 43366 so follow me on the TCS App.  I'm due to start about 10.00.

2 October

London Marathon - the big day. Let's have the best day together and celebrate London at its best raising millions for good causes. I hope you all enjoy the day! Hooray, I did 5:20 fantastic day great weather amazing crowd support. I did a fast first half 2.20 but the second half was a challenge. Well done Team LOOK great effort. And thanks for all your amazing support on the day. I'm recovering well hoping to do Royal Parks Half on Sunday, should be easy compared to full marathon.

Fundraising Update

I'm up to nearly £3000 with Gift Aid that's amazing! What fantastic support I'm so grateful for all your help, thank you all so much. Please help me to reach my target, we're almost there. 15 runners have pulled out so LOOK have lost £30,000.They desperately need your help to run their programs. 

Last week on a LOOK ZOOM, Charlotte CEO LOOK and others graphically described their own diagnosis of sight loss and the devastating realisation of their future lives and having to use a white stick.  Very moving and made me even more determined to help LOOK with your help, please.

Sadly, 15 runners have pulled out so LOOK has lost £30,000. They desperately need our help to reach/exceed our targets to maintain their work. The good news is that many of Team LOOK's 25 runners have raised an amazing average of £2000. So together with your help we can raise £50,000 to help fund all of LOOKs invaluable work. Team LOOK are proud to wear our Vests and do you proud on Sunday!
