On October 7th 2016, after feeling unwell for a very short time,  Mum was diagnosed with terminal Stage 4 Cancer. A frightening diagnosis that devastated us all but Mum faced so bravely. After a few short weeks she was admitted to Kirkwood Hospice on October 31st and died on November 9th, leaving our hearts broken. Kirkwood proved to be a special place where Mum lived her final days with dignity, feeling safe and cared for. A place where her family felt supported. For this, we will always be grateful.

Lawrence and Jonathan are taking part in the Man vs Lakes Marathon hoping to raise funds for Kirkwood Hospice, in memory of Noreen. Man vs Lakes is a marathon across the quicksand of Morecambe Bay, through the mountainous trails that bring you to the foot of Lake Windemere and through the Lake to the finish.
