Story

On the weekend of Saturday 27 and Sunday 28 March, the Tom Walker Fund is holding a Walk for Tom event to help raise funds in aid of Cancer Research Wales.

Tom was George's cousin. In 2018, after just over two weeks of illness with a range of conditions, he was diagnosed with acute myeloid leukaemia. He died the following day, aged 13.

Following Tom's passing, his parents, Tim and Debbie, sisters Holly and Emily, and the amazing community in the Monmouth area, have tirelessly raised funds for a research post in his memory. The first award was recently made to Cardiff University, for research into a potential treatment for acute myeloid leukaemia, and a research scientist started there in January 2021.

We will be undertaking the 16 mile Ashridge Boundary Trail in memory of Tom. Please give whatever you can.
