I have been lucky enough to have been allocated a place in the Ride London 100
on the 4th of august. It is a 100 mile cycle to celebrate the cycling legacy left by the 2012 Olympics. I'm pretty nervous... 100 miles is quite a long way!
Cycling has given me such an enormous buzz and so much happiness over the past year, both from the sense of achievement of completing something I didn't think I could do (for example my first competitive ride - the TT at chew valley lake!!!) and meeting a whole heap of awesome like-minded people!
Sportability are a charity who provide oportinities for people with paralysis to try out a wide variety of sports and adventure pursuits. They're aim is not to make elite sportspeople, but just to give that adrenaline rush, that I'm sure anyone who participates in and loves their sport will have experienced, to those who may have thought it impossible.
I have chosen this charity to fundraise for because I feel that everyone should have a chance to experience the joy and excitement that I've been so lucky to have discovered recently!!!
