Cornerstone Kilimanjaro Challenge · 2 October 2014 to 12 October 2014 ·
In October 2014, two trainees from Ledingham Chalmers LLP will take on the highest freestanding mountain in the world in aid of Cornerstone. Ledingham Chalmers are delighted to be able to support the charity once again to make life less of an uphill struggle for some of Scotland's most vulnerable people.
It will take us 8 days to climb the mountain which stands at 5,895m, with the final push to the summit being a gruelling 18 hour trek in temperatures of around -20°C. As you can imagine, this will require lots of preparation and a strict training programme. Huge thanks to Dan Morgan who is already preparing to whip us into shape - time to hang up our heels and pull on those hiking boots!
We need your sponsorship to help us raise as much money as possible to make a difference. Every penny we raise will help to provide a range of valuable services to adults and children across Scotland with disabilities and other support needs. Cornerstone believe in giving people the opportunity to live an independent life and become an important part of their community, and we would be hugely grateful for any support you can give us in aid of this fantastic cause. We are covering the costs of the trip ourselves therefore all money donated will go to the charity.
