WLM Sleep Out 2018
Campaign by West London Mission (RCN 1133739)
Support those sleeping out of their comfort zone for one night to help us continue our vital work with street homeless and vulnerable people in London.

Story

On Friday 26th October, I will be giving up the comfort of my own bed to experience some of the difficulties faced by those sleeping on the street.  Armed with a sleeping bag and some cardboard I will be spending the night outside St James' Church in Piccadilly to raise money for WLM Seymour Place, one of the principal charities supported by LCP.

WLM Seymour Place does some incredible work to help homeless, who most often are in overwhelming crisis situations.  The WLM work alongside each person to address their needs and challenges in a holistic manner, aiming to enable each individual to move forward, off the streets and into a more stable and fruitful life.

It has a dual approach; providing short term relief with frontline services such as providing warm food, showers and health assessments on site while working to provide long term solutions of finding accommodation and employment.  In the past year WLM Seymour Place helped over 1,500 homeless people, carried out nearly 1,000 new client assessments, nearly 800 NHS health assessments and helped over 250 people into accommodation.

Please help us help them by making a donation.
