Far too many of us have felt the pain of losing someone we love. With your donations, we power groundbreaking cardiovascular research to save and improve lives, bring hope to families, and keep hearts beating across the UK.

Story

Letting specialists Leaders are delighted to be sponsoring a group of employees from their head office in Worthing in the British Heart Foundation’s London to Brighton Bike Ride which takes place on 16 June.

The 54 mile bike ride is the largest charity bike ride in Europe, taking riders from the bustling capital through breathtaking country lanes to the finish line at Brighton's famous seafront.

The group have been training hard for their challenge since the start of the year, enduring many cold, wet and windy miles on their bikes in their efforts to ensure they are ready for the big day. Most of them have now completed a couple of sessions of 30 miles or more and are confident that, barring injuries, they will all successfully complete the full 54 miles.

One of the riders, Leaders’ Client Accounts Manager, Martin Butler-Thompson, said: “Training for this challenge has been tough but enjoyable and we are now looking forward to the big ride itself. Thank you to Leaders and everyone who has sponsored us so far. We want to raise as much as we can for the British Heart Foundation which is a charity close to our hearts.

“Heart and circulatory disease is the UK’s biggest killer and BHF are working towards an ambitious vision of a world where people no longer die prematurely from heart disease.

“They aim to play a leading role in the fight against heart and circulatory disease and every day they save lives by funding groundbreaking research, providing vital information that helps people keep their own heart healthy, and supporting and caring for heart patients and their families.  They rely on donations to carry out this invaluable work.”
