Story
Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page. On the 22nd of june 2013 at 23 weeks pregnant i went into labour. That evening i was rushed to the Royal Gwent hospital where i gave birth to a baby boy weighing 1lb 9ounces. They didnt think he was going to make it being born so prematurely on the 'edge of life viability'. Little did we know that tiny baby would be such a little fighter! It was the most scariest time of my life. He went through so much during his 109 day stay in the NICU. The nurses (his aunties)as we aptly called them and the doctors were amazing without their dedication and expertese my son would not be here today and i truly owe them my all. Sadly this is an all to common story for some families that go on the NICU journey. wether there baby was born early or was born poorly. The neonatal unit "Gwent Neonatal Dragons" need all the help they can get for funding for new equipment to keep these miracles alive and well enough to get closer to the doors to leave. This is why i will be running the city of Newport half marathon. My son Preston is now 2 and a half we still have a way to go yet but hes amazing and my miracle! im not asking for alot i know times are hard for each and everyone of us but just a little donation can make such a difference it truly can. Thanks again for reading my essay! I hope it can give some one in a similar situtation to what we went through hope and strength.❤❤
