Story

I'm a journalist and was writing about this event (postponed until April due to lockdown restrictions) when it was suggested I take part.

Now, I'm infamous for my clumsiness. I fall on flat ground, so it should be interesting to see what happens when I'm that high up! (And you can all see it too - the abseil will be filmed)

When I said yes I had liquid courage (coffee, not booze) running through my veins, but I know once I'm up there I'll be shaking like a leaf in a hurricane. But I'll give it my all, because I've seen the wonderful care St David's Hospice Care provides for ill people and their families.

Now it's down to YOU.

Please don't let my terror be in vain. Donate what you can. Share with your friends. Stop me flaking out as I climb those 278 steps - on April 17 - and give me a reason to be brave.

Thank you.
