Story

In Memory of James Grant.

On 14th July 2011, My Father lost his battle to cancer after fighting it for 18 months. For the last 8 days of his life, he was taken in by Strathcarron Hospice. As the end was nearing, my Mother, Sister, Brother and I would not spend a night away from his bedside. It ended up we were there with him for 6 days. The staff at Strathcarron treated Dad with Dignity, Respect and Humour. They took the rest of the family under their wing too, and looked after our needs far above any standard we could ever have expected. They made all of us feel at home and gave us peace at the hardest moment of our lives.

My family are indebted to Strathcarron Hospice and all their staff. We can never fully repay them. The least we can do is aid their fundraising efforts. Our family aim to raise £7000, all doing different fundraing efforts, donating our time, effort and our money. £7000 is the amount that would be needed to look after 2 patients for 8 days each. We want to give them in money, double what it took to treat my Dad. It's the very least we can do in return.

Any donations however small are wonderful and we are very thankful for them.
