As I work opposite St Mary's it was a no brainer to pick this as my first charity to support in the Town.  When I heard that the property was at risk and had suffered recent vandalism, I thought to myself what would my view be everyday if it was not this magical building, packed with history and stunning architecture.

It started out as a personal keep fit challenge for myself for the new year, but has very quickly has grown into a large team event. I am overwhelmed how many people have shown their support and want to be part of the team in raising money for this charity. So the idea now is for each team member to raise their own sponsorship monies, £200 target each, if possible to hit a team target of £10,000. 

Wow, how amazing will it be to hand over this amount raised from one single event on the day of completing the bike ride??? I for one will feel a great sense of achievement and will be so proud of everyone, I will probably shed a tear.

The route will start from the Hunters Head office in York at 10am on the 18th April 2015 and End around 2.30pm at Hunters Beverley on Hengate. The finished has been designed to be a real celebration for all of the supporters, family and friends of those taking part. A Live singer will entertain the gathering crowd, BBQ for some much needed subsidence and refreshments will also be available.

When we have gathered our breaths, we will draw the very generous raffle prize that Minster Cycles have very kindly donated to assist us in raising money to help hit our target and we will of course finish on presenting Becky with the total monies raised by this single event.
