We are hosting a mams vs dads rugby match and a boys vs girls match (which jay will be refereeing) along with a family fun day including bouncy castles, face painting, games, stalls and family bingo with a raffle and disco/karaoke at Dowlais rugby pitch/club on the 1st of July at 2pm. All funds from this event will go to action duchenne to fund crucial chromosome research to help children like jay Lewis who are battling daily with this life limiting disease. Jay is a 9 year old local boy who until recently was running around playing football like any other child until this terrible disease started taking its course now leaving jay a wheelchair user. This will quickly become worse leaving jay a constant wheelchair user unless we can raise enough money for trials to slow this down. Life expectancy for duchenne sufferers is early teens but with your help we can fund research prolonging life expectancy to late teens. Please help us reach our goal for children like jay to enjoy a healthier life for longer ❤
