Story
Seven years ago we got the dreaded news that my mum had breast cancer, but she put up an amazing fight and she won. Then in February 2017 we got the news that the cancer had returned and was now in her liver. as well as other areas.
cancer really does suck.
My mum was the most amazing person, she was so giving and kind and so full of love for us all. She adored her grandbabies, my two boys and nephew. And they adored her back. Their bond is irreplaceable. She meant the world to us all, in face, she was our world.
My mum spent her last 24 hours under the fantastic care of the nurses at willen hospice, and honestly the care is truly amazing. Not only did they care for her, they cared for us too. I never realised the work that they did until we needed them.
I'm hoping that i can raise enough money to help willen hospice give the care they gave us to another family, the hospice need to raise £7 per minute to be able to continue to give the great care that they do.
Me and Emma really do appreciate anything that you can spare to sponsor us, Thank you :D
Willen Hospice provides specialist end-of-life care for adults, focusing on four key areas: specialist symptom control, emotional support, spiritual support and care for carers.Often the most distressing aspect of living with life-limiting illnesses is the types of pain and symptoms which can arise. Our team of dedicated staff and volunteers can give compassionate, specialist support to patients, and their family members, to help deal with, as they wish to, the physical and emotional effects of both their illness and treatments.
