At Bendrigg Trust we aim to put an end to disabled people sitting on the side-lines during physical activities. We provide opportunities for people of all abilities to take part in adapted activities such as climbing, caving, canoeing and cycling whilst staying in our fully accessible accommodation.

Story

Bendrigg Trust challenges perceptions of disabled and disadvantaged people through adventurous activities. Just £40 can support a person with a disability to try climbing for the first time and start to believe in what they can do, rather than what they think they can't. At Bendrigg we help people take part in activities they never dreamt possible due to their disability or social disadvantage. Thank you for helping to make dreams a reality and to allow everyone to achieve through adventure.

"I wanted my return to biking to be for more than just me. Bendrigg are an incredible resource for people with support needs, their families, teachers, care givers etc to try new sports, learn & develop skills, go on adventures in the beautiful Lake District and it's a fantastic social experience too. Absolutely anyone can participate. There's caving, canoeing, climbing, biking, zipping...the list goes on and the adapted kit and facilities are legendary. Visit their website for more information" (Leanne)
