Story

A gigantic explosion occurred early evening on Tuesday in Beirut, Lebanon. The blast flattened entire sections of the city, including the main port for the country and was felt as far as away as 150 miles. The destruction to life and property has not even been completely assessed as rescuers search for survivors. At least 4,000 people have been reported injured, completely overwhelming the hospitals that were already dealing with COVID-19 pandemic.
